What is a headshot?
A headshot is a professional photograph of a person’s head including all their hair, shoulders and can include upper body. Typically used for business, acting, or modelling purposes.
Why do I need a headshot?
A headshot as serves as the first impression to potential casting directors, agents, clients or employers. It helps you get in the door so you can land that audition.
It portrays your level of professionalism and helps you stand out in a competitive market.
What to wear?
You should wear clothing that is clean, compliments your eye color and skin tone. Should be lint free, neat, and appropriate for the industry or purpose of the headshot. Solid colors are best, non reflective options are my recommendations. Busy fine patterns or other company logos should be avoided. We will discuss clothing selections in detail prior to your shoot date.
How should I wear my hair and makeup?
Your hair and makeup should enhance your natural features and be kept simple and natural unless you’re going for a specific look. Avoid extreme, lustrous or reflective makeup. Hairstyles should be you and the way you’d like to look for the next year or two.
Where do I take my headshots?
You have the option of studio or outdoor location of your choice. When we talk, we will discuss your vision and location options.
If an outdoor on location shoot is your choice. I recommend a well-lit area, or we bring appropriate lighting, I would choose neutral backgrounds that won’t detract from the focus on you, your eyes and face.
Do I get all my digital Images?
Yes, you have the options to purchase all your digital gallery images. Important Note: Retouch image requests with the purchase of your entire digital image gallery add on is not included.
